So you have two weeks to spare. Congratulations, that in itself is quite an achievement! Now, you are probably wondering what to do with it? You have thought about lying on a beach, but honestly, you want some alone time, not alone time surrounded by thousands of tourists and families. So you think, perhaps I’ll enjoy the countryside. Yes! Good idea, now how about a walking holiday.

Now you have decided to go for a walk it’s time to consider how you’re going to go about it. Backpacking was great in your early 20s, but these days that feels like too much work, plus you don’t fancy lugging a loaded pack for 2 weeks. That doesn’t sound like a holiday at all. A self-catering cottage is a good idea, but for two weeks? You will need to take the car so you can get out and about to find enough to entertain.

What about a self-guided walking holiday? A different stop every day which also means somewhere different to stay, a new host, a new town and a new section of the countryside. All topped off with the feeling of achievement that you have walked a long distance path.

Now with two weeks to spare you don’t want to be too tired but you would like to tick a complete itinerary. The coast to coast sounds good, but that looks busy Pembrokeshire? Very appealing, but the public transport looks tricky. What about the Offa’s Dyke? Perfect!

So, the next question is this. Whats the best Offas Dyke itinerary for this period. 2 weeks is 14 days, you need some travel day and also, a day to relax before you start back at work. 13 nights it is then. Here is a great itinerary for the Offa’s Dyke Path for 13 nights and 12 days walking:
